COVID-19 Church Service Guidelines

Welcome back Word Alive Church!

We are so excited to be meeting in person again. We have missed you and look forward to seeing your smiling faces again. Our Sunday services will resume on Sunday, May 31st for 9:00 & 11:00 services. All services can still be viewed online.

The following guidelines will be utilized as we reopen our house of worship.

Reservations:

To maintain social distancing guidelines, we are limiting our service capacity. We are asking you to register the number of people attending Sunday service, this will allow us to manage our service flow. If you know of anyone that does not have access to a computer, please have them contact the church office (or you can register them). Reservations are on a first come first served basis. Once the capacity is reached for the sanctuary you will have the option to select the overflow (multipurpose room). This is not a permanent solution but temporary during this season.

At risks groups:

Any individuals who feel they are in the high-risk group and with underlying medical conditions, particularly if not well controlled are encouraged to stay home and continue watching online. Also, if you are not feeling well or have any symptoms of illness please stay home.

Practice Social Distancing:

Enter church building with social distancing (6ft), this does not apply to your family unit. For time being, please refrain from physical contact with those outside your family (nodding, waving instead of shaking hands, or hugging, etc.) Our ushers will be seating you accordingly.

Face Masks:

We are encouraging for you to wear masks (cloth coverings) to protect you and others, exemption are children 3 and under. There will be masks provided at the church as well for those who need one.

Hand Sanitizing Stations:

Hand sanitizing stations will be located at both entrances, throughout our facility and in the restrooms. Please remember to wash your hands frequently to avoid spreading germs.

Children’s Ministry:

At this time, for the safety of all our children and volunteers, we will not be having children’s ministry or nursery. We will gradually reopen them as we move towards our next phase. Children can sit with their parents and family with option to exit to the foyer if their child is fussy. We have conveniently placed changing stations in our women’s and men’s restrooms. Also, at least one parent must accompany their child to the restroom while in the facility.

Sanitation:

Our facility will be frequently cleaned and disinfected during and between services.

Thank you so much for your support and patience during this season. Please email your questions or concern to: office@wordalivethornton.org
